About the Founder

Befalia Aisarahmadani in a mermaid tail on the beach

Befalia Aisarahmadani, drg.

I train instructors and build safe mermaid and underwater dance programs for resorts, aquariums and dive centers across Indonesia.

PADI Mermaid Instructor Trainer · PADI Specialty Instructor Trainer, Underwater Dance · Bali and Jakarta

My story

I started as a dancer. I have danced professionally since 2009, on stages in Indonesia and abroad.

I am also a dentist. I graduated as a drg. from Universitas Trisakti in 2019. My medical training is why I treat health checks, safety and procedure as part of every lesson, not an extra.

In 2017 I became a professional mermaid. Water gave my dance a new stage, and teaching gave it a purpose.

In April 2021 I founded Sea Diva Tails, making fabric mermaid tails in our studio in Tabanan, Bali. In April 2022 I founded PT. DiveArts Academy Indonesia, building on Sea Diva.
